Festival will, as usual,
be on 26th April; at the Albert Hall.
The Choir is learning lots of new items in earnest as we prepare
for the Festival Concert on Saturday 26th April at the Albert
Hall. The Choir is well prepared and have had the list of songs
and much of the music.
This concert will have a 'History of the Choir' theme and longer-serving
members and followers will note that this is reflected in the
repertoire with the return of quite a few 'old favourites',
but also something new designed to mark our centenary
(If you dont get your tickets you won't find out what it is!).
We will be joined as guests by a singer who has close links
with the Choir, Joy Marriott, also
the wonderful Victoria Gray, (and you can find out more here,BBC)
as well as the remarkable
young violinist Florian Rago, who made such a big impression
at a Christmas Concert a few years ago.
